Yes, these bread crumbs freeze really well, so I wait until I have a bunch of bread and do it all at one time.

I am posting the recipe for Oven Fried Chicken on my blog for today's post. I'm not sure why I didn't give it then?!

I'm going to visit your blog and check out your recipes! Thanks.:)Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09250197473577401666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67141624122186526.post-9293650451360204472008-11-06T00:35:00.000-05:002008-11-06T00:35:00.000-05:00Wow! It makes a great simple dinner for when you're out of almost everything in the house. If you're interested, it's at my blog, www.queenofthecastlerecipes.com. I think I called it Super Simple Supper. It should be filed under main dishes in Oct.

I should try your idea about using them for fried chicken. Do you have a special recipe you use, or do you just lay the chicken in the bread crumbs and fry away?Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16562989307286675615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67141624122186526.post-10925566303594298612007-04-19T15:47:00.000-04:002007-04-19T15:47:00.000-04:00Hi Jen,No, you don't have to toast them and they s...Hi Jen,

No, you don't have to toast them and they stay just like regular bread that has been frozen and then thawed. We eat whole wheat bread, so I've not tried it with white bread. Also, my blender is a Vita-Mix brand. This monster sounds like a jet landing and can saw a piece of wood into sawdust. However I'm guessing the bread would do well in any blender.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09250197473577401666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67141624122186526.post-62307092779920381592007-04-18T20:15:00.000-04:002007-04-18T20:15:00.000-04:00GREAT idea - so you don't toast them or anything, ...GREAT idea - so you don't toast them or anything, you just blend them and you get crumbs . . . it doesn't all gunk together into big balls of ick?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
